This is a compilation of Department of State Bureau of Intelligence and Research (INR) briefing notes to the Director of INR, mostly dated June 12, 1968, with some from June 6, 1968. The notes cover world events, including student riots in Paris, East German passport and visa rules for West Germans, a UN resolution on South West Africa, a change of Komsomol leadership, Sino-Nepalese relations, and the Colombian presidential resignation crisis. Unrest in Senegal and Somalia is also covered. None of the notes discuss UFOs.

CLASS./CONTROL(S) TDCS-314/09309, 6 June 68 An Official French Service reports that information that Moscow has offered to supply Fatah-Asifa and other Palestinian organizations with weapons and equipment. The offer was transmitted through an intermediary in Cairo and was accepted by the Fatah command as of 22 May 68. ## INR/RSB & RNA Comment We have a considerable body of evidence covering the period of Arab Palestinian activities against Israel indicating that the USSR has stood aloof from Arab terrorist activities and has refused to provide them with direct aid. The French report should be treated with reserve unless it is confirmed.
