It lists upcoming meetings, including an ISCAP meeting and the Historical Review Panel, along with automatic declassification deadlines under Executive Order 12958. It reports a FRUS conference with State Department counterparts, FOIA requests about the 1953 Iranian coup, U-2 pilot Rudolph Anderson and Soviet nuclear monitoring, and a joint effort with NIMA to index U-2 imagery. It does not mention UFOs.

Dr. Richelson also requested copies of "any studies of Soviet/Russian nuclear detonation monitoring activities/capabilities...produced between 1985 and 2000.“ (U//RIBS) Requester Interested in U-2 Pilot from Cuban Missile Crisis (U//7-UUU) A Texas requester sought information on "Rudolph Anderson (the U-2 pilot whose shooting down by Soviet missiles over Cuba precipitated the ‘Cuban Missile Crisis‘)." 0 The FOIA Case Oflicer advised the requester that because the subject of his request was a pilot in the US Air Foree, he should submit his request to the Military Personnel Records Center in St. Louis, Missouri. O The FOIA Case Officer provided the requ ester with 162 pages ofpreviously released material on this - subject from the Management of Oflicially Released Information (MORI) (U//-kl-H6) OIM Declassification Center (b)(3 (U//F096) ODC and N IMA Solve Long Term Problem Regarding U-2 Finding Aid (U/FU'b‘S) This week the OIM Declassification Center (ODC) partnered with NIMA to develop an index to help researchers sort through declassified U-2 imagery at the National Archives and Research Administration (NARA) that was released by the CIA in 1997. The NIMA team at ODC informed NARA that the NIMA film library contains U-2 mission statistical data on film transparencies that could be used as a finding aid. NARA agreed the proposal would solve the long term index problem. NIMA librarians will pull the records, which will be reviewed for declassification by the NIMA imagery analysis team before released to NARA. (b)(3 (U//RI'b‘6)- From the Archives: CIA Goes on Official Six-Day Work Week in 1950 (U/fifi-U0.) The Korean War was the probable reason the legal counsel to the DDA informed the DCI that "the Agency is officially on the six-day week ..." in a December 1950 memorandum that was recently reviewed by the DCI team at the OIM Declassification Center (ODC).
