This Central Intelligence Agency Directorate of Intelligence reference aid, ALA 83-10064, is dated June 1983. It lists major international and domestic events affecting Cuba between 1 January and 31 December 1982, arranged alphabetically by country, plus sections on the Nonaligned Movement and the Palestine Liberation Movement. Entries include Cuban troops in Angola, Cuban support for Argentina in the Falklands dispute, and trade and cooperation agreements with many nations. It does not discuss UFOs.

CZECHOSLOVAKIA
Cuba and Czechoslovakia sign an agreement providing credits for investment
projects in Cuba for 1981-85.
Council of State member Joel Domenech Benitez heads a delegation to a meeting
of the Czechoslovakia-Cuban Committee for economic, scientific, and technical
cooperation in Prague.
Cuba and Czechoslovakia sign an inter-governmental agreement on cooperation in
the scientifictechnical sphere until 1990. Joel Benitez Domenech meets with
Federal Premier Lubomir Strougal in Prague to discuss relations between
Czechoslovakia and Cuba.
Vice President of the Council of Ministers Joel Domenech meets in Havana with
Czechoslovakia’s Prime Minister Lubomir Strougal to sign an economic, scientific,
and technical agreement.
Cuba and Czechoslovakia sign a trade protocol in Prague for 1982 that will
increase trade by 27 percent.
The 14th session of the Cuba-Czechoslovakia Subcommittee for Scientific and
Technical Cooperation begins in Havana.
Cuba and Czechoslovakia sign scientific and technical cooperation protocols in
Havana.
The 29th CEMA Waterworks Conference is held in Havana. Bilateral scientific-
technical cooperation agreements are ratified or signed with the GDR, Bulgaria,
Hungary, the USSR, and Czechoslovakia.
Communications Minister Pedro Guelmes Gonzalez arrives in Prague and tours
centers of economic interest and discusses expanding bilateral cooperation with
Deputy Premier Rohlicek.
Cuba and Czechoslovakia sign a communications agreement.
Jindrich Rehorek, CSSR First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs discusses
cooperation with Jorge Bolanos Suarez, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in
Prague.
Minister of Transportation Guillermo Garcia Frias attends the signing ceremony
in Havana of the Railway Cooperation Protocol between Bulgaria, the USSR,
Hungary, Czechoslovakia, and Cuba.
CSSR party leader Alois Indra arrives in Havana. He discusses bilateral relations
and aspects of the economic activities of the two nations with Jose Machado
Ventura and Flavio Bravo. Domestic Trade Minister Manuel Vila discusses the
intensification of economic cooperation with Vaclav Hula, deputy premier of
Czechoslovakia during meetings in Prague.
