This Central Intelligence Agency Directorate of Intelligence reference aid, ALA 83-10064, is dated June 1983. It lists major international and domestic events affecting Cuba between 1 January and 31 December 1982, arranged alphabetically by country, plus sections on the Nonaligned Movement and the Palestine Liberation Movement. Entries include Cuban troops in Angola, Cuban support for Argentina in the Falklands dispute, and trade and cooperation agreements with many nations. It does not discuss UFOs.

Technical Cooperation ends. Two protocols are signed on cooperation in sugar and
paper production.
Fidel Castro meets with Polish Deputy Prime Minister Rakowski in Havana.
Carlos Rafael Rodriguez receives the credentials of Stanislaw Jarsabek as the new
Polish Ambassador to Cuba.
Central Committee member Rene Rodriguez Cruz discusses matters of mutual
interest with Polish Ambassador to Cuba Stanislaw J arzabek.
Foreign Vice Minister Jorge Bolanos Suarez and his Polish counterpart Josef
Wiejacz discuss the current international situation and bilateral relations during a
meeting in Poland.
President of the Federation of Cuban Women Vilma Espin meets with families of
Polish Army soldiers in Warsaw; she will also attend the annual meeting of
Socialist Community Presidents of Women.
Vice Minister of Justice Dr. Hector Garcini Guerra and his Polish counterpart
Maria Regent Lechowicz sign an agreement on juridical assistance in Havana.
Fidel Castro discusses bilateral relations and the international situation with
Polish Council of Ministers Deputy Chairman Mieczyslaw Rakowski in Havana.
