This Central Intelligence Agency file, dated 29 September 1975, collects Office of Security memoranda written while the Senate Select Committee was investigating the Agency. Staff were told to alert former employees about possible committee contact over Project MERRIMAC/RESISTANCE, and the file answers committee questions about Hayes International and Bay of Pigs pilots. It also records staff interviews about CIA name checks at NSA and a Justice Department request for records on domestic electronic surveillance. It contains no material on UFOs.

CIA maintains records on its associations with Hughes_

enterprises and personnel for routine administrative and 53»
records purposes. These include records of contracts awarded; e

security files on personnel associated with the contracts,
contact records of the Domestic Collection Division, and
records of any other contacts or proposed contacts- -Such
records are entirely routine; they are the same kinds of records
that the Agency maintains on any company or_individual with
which it has associations.

The Agency's association with Hughes enterprises is in
no way connected with the relationship which existed between
Hughes enterprises and Robert R. Mullen and Company. Mr.
Robert F. Bennett had been associated with Hughes enterprises
prior to his joining Mullen and Company. No Agency business
with Hughes enterprises was channeled through_Mullen and
Company, although the Agency had a separate and on—going
relationship.with Mullen and Qompany;-. '
