MEMORANDUM FOR: Inspector General
SUBJECT : Department of Justice Request for Agency Documents
1. The Department of Justice (DOJ) has requested the Agency
furnish them copies of a number of Agency documents related to
"ITT/Chile". Those listed below should be within the jurisdiction of
your office.
Typed indexes for the "ITT'files" that were
in possession of the Inspector General, CIA on January 1, 1976
2. In the past we have furnished the documents in their classified
form sanitizing appropriate names and clearly non~relevant material.
The names of Agency employees have been provided separately, keyed
to the documents in which they appear. If sanitization appears necessary
for any of those documents listed below, I would like to meet with those
individuals in your office who will undertake such in order that a clear "
agreement can be reached as to the extent of the sanitization prior to
it actually beginning .

3. These materials should be available for transmission to DOJ
by 23 March 1976. Please provide them to this office where they will be
transmitted with the balance of the request and forwarded to DOJ.
