This Central Intelligence Agency file, dated 29 September 1975, collects Office of Security memoranda written while the Senate Select Committee was investigating the Agency. Staff were told to alert former employees about possible committee contact over Project MERRIMAC/RESISTANCE, and the file answers committee questions about Hayes International and Bay of Pigs pilots. It also records staff interviews about CIA name checks at NSA and a Justice Department request for records on domestic electronic surveillance. It contains no material on UFOs.

Critchfield's name probably should be deleted. rr. ll Decernber 1972 — The reference to two unidentified State cables does not constitute confirmation that there were in fact such cables. I think it is releasable. ss. 12 December l972 — The first item in the minutes not only confirms the Anderson reference to a State cable , it raises the third Agency rule. tt. 13 December 1972 — No problems. _ uu. 18 December 1972 - No problem, although OLC might want to look at it carefully. vv. 19 December 1972 - No problems. ww. 20 December 1972 — No problems.» xx. 21 December 1972 — No problems. 2. It is noted that all of the minutes have a Top Secret- Sensitive marking. Some of the material, obviously, does not fall into that category. Some, conceivably, may involve special code words that don't appear in these minutes. People with technical competence ought to weigh in on consideration of that question. _ . 3.
