it must be recognized that CIA's refusal to provide therequested information will inevitably lead the committeeto request it from the IRS; and the IRS may not be in aposition to withhold it, particularly since according toJerry Brown, Review Staff, one reason for the committee'sinterest in this area is a possible "CIA abuse of IRS."Finally, it must be noted that intervention was notrestricted to CIA_proprietaries but included some individualcases and some real corporations and foundations whocooperated with CIA.
4. The attached list is arranged chronologicallyand is self-explanatory in its content. The onlyactivities terminated by CIA, which would lend themselvesto true name release to the committee because they havebeen exposed in public, are:
