This Central Intelligence Agency file, dated 29 September 1975, collects Office of Security memoranda written while the Senate Select Committee was investigating the Agency. Staff were told to alert former employees about possible committee contact over Project MERRIMAC/RESISTANCE, and the file answers committee questions about Hayes International and Bay of Pigs pilots. It also records staff interviews about CIA name checks at NSA and a Justice Department request for records on domestic electronic surveillance. It contains no material on UFOs.

This eifiisclosure occurred between CLA and H15 between November 1957
and .A.ptri1 19712. There is no evidence that any of Ehese niis closures were
made based tupon written authori zation . Written authorization has been
required. by xregulation during all relevant periods.
The requests for the information were made in two categories of cases:
A. The counterinielligence type invesfigations where

There iis no documentation in IRS files that flue CIA gave the specific
reason for threir requests at the time the requests were made, since any
such requests; were a.ppar»ent1y oral. -
In mosi’: of these requests, there is no documentation as to any discussions
which may heave transpired betwseen any specific IRE; employee and. the CIA.
These rte-quesrits were apparently made through a Itiaaison relationship which
existecl betwz-een the IRS and CIA.
