1. Reference is made ta our rscent conversatiens concerningthe DCI's desire far concise outlines regarding several topics ofcurrent interest to the Senate and Hausa Select Cummittees.
2. Pursuant tn the DCI's request, forwarded herewith aretwo mamoranda (Tabs A and B) which summarize those instanceswhere the Gffica of Security and the Qffice of General Counselhave obtained 5.3. Internal Revenue Service income tax infor-matinn concerning individuals, fiirms, and/or organizations. Asindicated in the attachad.summaries, all hut one ef theseinstances were predicated an sensitive investigations of acaunterintelligence nature. »
3. Tab A consists sf a brief summary of the above casesin outline form; Tab B consists of a more detailed summary asprmpare& in the format of a bliné mmmorandum. It should benoted that neithar of thase summaries deal with the Agency'srelationships with the Internal Revenue Service with regard tosuch matters as cnvert tax returns and/or cover problems.
