This Central Intelligence Agency FOIA release, dated 2025-06-12, collects 1976 CIA paperwork on Harold Weisberg's request (76-F-382) for records on Martin Luther King, Jr. It includes routing slips, an Operations Staff memorandum listing releasable press items and exempt cables, dispatches and memoranda, and a CI Staff reply citing a 1968 Office of Security memo on Coretta Scott King. It also contains a 16 May 1968 memo to the FBI reporting that Gerald Lee Richards, investigated in Japan, did not resemble suspect James Earl Ray.

Extracts of interest taken from the OSI Monthly Counterintelligence Report are as follows:

## STIOPSTN

Former CP member arrives in Alaska. CP member confined in Federal Jail at Anchorage for non-support. Activities of possible subversives set forth. Alaska Labor Defender starts publication again.

1. An aircraft passenger list from the Jumann Daily Empire revealed ART OLIN arrived in that city from Seattle, Washington on 3 March 1956 and departed for Anchorage on 5 March 1956. A later list in the same newspaper revealed OLIN again flow to Anchorage on 23 March 1956. When interviewed by the FBI in 1951, OLIN admitted being a member of the Ketchikan branch of the Communist Party from 1956 to 1950.

8. Another passenger list in the Juncan Empire revealed a NUMAN B. NELSON departed Juncan for Anchorage on 27 March 1936. Information at this office indicated NUMAN B. NELSON, a Juncan Commissit, was due to return to Alaska from the ZI during the latter part of March 1936. Further inquiry by this office has disclosed NUMAN B. NELSON was confined in the Federal Jail in Anchorage and charged with non-support of his former wife. NELSON was released on 28 April 1936 when he agreed to pay the stipulated amount and is reportedly planning on working up a self-employed contractor in the Anchorage area.

3. EBGAR PAUL BOUND was recently reported as attorney for Anchorage Mayer, NEW YORK, in the letter's dispute with the City Council over a paving contract. As an indication of BOUND's activism he has recently represented the following companies and/or individuals in highly controversial issues: Chugash Electrical Association, Nitromain Bus Lines, Nitromain Electric Association, Fairview PDB, Cooper Valley Electric Association, and the JACK@ANLER tax case. In connection with the NABLER case, a local newspaper reported that a CHARLES ANLER started a fund raising activity which was termed the "NABLER Defense Fund."
