This is a Central Intelligence Agency release dated 2025-06-12 under the JFK Act. It collects 1975 newspaper and magazine clippings. They include Mark Harris's New York Times Magazine essay on a UCLA "Conspiracy in America" conference and the conspiracy-theory mindset, a Jack Anderson column on stalled CIA reform, and wire reports of Richard Helms calling CBS newsman Daniel Schorr "Killer" after he testified to the Rockefeller Commission. There is also an essay on power and a publishing item about Philip Agee's book.

## Glomar to Be Taxed
LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles county assessor says he has ship a tax assessment of more than 50 million on the secret salvage ship Glamar Explorer which, as purported property of the federal government, has been tax exempt.
Assessor Philip Watson said yesterday he believes the old foot ship used to raise part of a sunken Soviet submarine off Hawaii last year is the legal property of Howard Hughes' Summa Corp. and at an assessed value of 510 million should be taxable in the amount of $1.21 million.
Watson said there is about $250 million worth of sophisticated electronics equipment on the ship but suspects most of it is owned by the Central Intelligence Agency and is therefore tax exempt.

Auf einen 24jährigen Anenten der amerikanischen Militärkriminalpolizie (CIA) vorde am Freitag in Bamberg ein Mordanschlag verletzt. Nach Angaben der Polizei führ der Agent mit seinem Dienstwagen am fruhen Morgen durch Bamberg, als plötzlich aus einem überholenden Merkzeug oder BMW viel Schurze auf sein Auto abgeben wurden. Der Agent Leib sich sofort auf den Boden seinen Währen Laden und wurde nicht verletzt. Der Wagen der Täter entkam in umbekannter Richtung. Die Polizei vermutet, daß die Täter aus Kauschgiftindleckreisen stammen.
