This Central Intelligence Agency records retirement request, dated 17 October 1980, comes from the Office of Legislative Counsel. It retires 16mm microfilm copies of documents the CIA reviewed in response to House Select Committee on Assassinations inquiries into the deaths of President Kennedy and Martin Luther King. Attached 1983 memos record that a District Court ordered the agency to process this segregated HSCA collection in the Allen v. Department of Defense FOIA suit. File review worksheets list the HSCA requests and reports.
