This is a Central Intelligence Agency FBIS translation of a RIA report printed in Krasnaya Zvezda on 6 August 1992. It says aircraft, helicopters and ground teams were still searching for an Su-27 fighter that disappeared on 25 July during a planned flight, and that a cyclone was hampering the search. The Far East Air Defense headquarters pointed to a UFO sighted in the crash area during the flight. No trace of the aircraft or its radio beacon had been found.
