This short, heavily redacted Central Intelligence Agency memorandum is dated 25 June 1976. It records a meeting that day with the Secretary of ORD about whether that office might be interested in a UFO case. The writer gave the Secretary copies of earlier memoranda, and the Secretary said ORD might have continuing interest once it had evaluated the material. The Secretary asked for more information on an unnamed system and wanted ORD's interest kept low profile until then. A TWX was sent requesting the information.

On 25 June 1976, we met with the Secretary of ORD regarding possible interest by that office in the UFO case. We was provided copies of the memorandum and later memorandum as well as the original memorandum. These items were provided at his request. felt that there may be some ongoing ORD interest, depending on the evaluation of that office of the material provided. asked that we attempt to obtain additional info on the system which we agreed to do. (A TWX was sent to this effect to the Office on 25 June 1976). asked that the ORD interest be kept at a low profile until some evaluation could be made, but at the same time indicated that he would be in touch with me on a fairly regular basis. 25 June 1976 APPROVED FOR RELEASE CAFE 17 hrs 78
