This Central Intelligence Agency memorandum for record, dated 22 August 1958, was signed by W. B. Lexow, Chief of the Applied Science Division. It concerns a letter from Leon Davidson dated 3 July 1958. Lexow notes that he recommended to Mr. Chapin on 28 July 1958 that the letter not be answered. He adds that a check with the executive registry that day showed no reply had been sent, apparently following his recommendation.
