This Central Intelligence Agency memorandum to the Director of Central Intelligence, dated 27 October 1955 and signed by Herbert Scoville, Jr., Assistant Director for Scientific Intelligence, reports on interviews with three of the four observers in a "Flying Saucer" event. It finds nothing confirming unconventional aircraft and suggests the objects were probably normal jets or aircraft with a high rate of climb. It recommends interviewing separately the person who sent the original dispatch.

METORAIDUN FUN; Director of Central Intelligence After interviews with three of the four observers involved in the "Flying Saucer" event, there still appears nothing to confirm the existence of these or other particularly unconventional type aircraft. It appears more likely that the aircraft observed were normal jets or at the very best aircraft with high rate of climb. Since the aircraft seems to have been the prime mover in sending the original dispatch and ascribing so much confidence to the observation of these saucers, it is imperative that he be interviewed alone. Furthermore, he should be able to provide some expert testimony relative to the complexes which has not been mentioned in any previous correspondence relative to this trip. It is my understanding that G-2 is holding back on interviews with the complexes extensively in order to wait for a joint interview with him and to ensure that we try and avoid this procedure.
