This is a Central Intelligence Agency Memorandum for the Record dated 14 June 1954 and signed by Herbert Scoville, Jr., Assistant Director for Scientific Intelligence. It covers office responsibilities for non-conventional types of air vehicles and rescinds an earlier memorandum on the same subject. ASD is to handle all surveillance of available information on the topic and keep the OSI files. Other divisions must send their files to ASD, stop filing on the subject, and give ASD technical advice when asked.

## MEMORIAGE FOR THE RECORD SUBJECT : Office Responsibilities for Non-Conventional Types of Air Vehicles REFERENCE: Memorandum for the Record, 14 June 1954, this subject 1. Reference memorandum is hereby rescinded. 3. ASD will maintain the OST files on this subject. All other Divisions will forward their files to ASD and thereupon terminate their filing activities on this subject. 2. Henceforth, ASD will conduct all surveillance of available information on this subject. All other OSI Divisions will provide such technical consultative assistance to ASD as it requires to discharge its assigned responsibility in this field. ASD will request a project of the requisite scope when appropriate for inclusion in the CSI Production Program. HERBERT SCOVILLE, JR.
