This is a CIA Office of Scientific Intelligence memorandum for record dated 23 April 1953, signed by Philip O. Strong, Acting Deputy Assistant Director for Scientific Intelligence. It records a call with Tod Babbitt about a meeting that Val Peterson had proposed in a letter. The meeting might be set for April 30th. Mr. Clark would represent OSI, and Dr. H. F. Robertson, who chaired the Panel, would go with him. The memo also discusses whether to hold the meeting in Governor Peterson's office or at OSI.

MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD SUBJECT: FCDA Meeting 1. This morning, I called Tod Babbitt about the meeting proposed in the Val Peterson letter. We agreed that he would explore with Mr. Peterson's office as to whether this meeting could be set for April 30th. I told him that Mr. Clark would represent OSI, and would be accompanied by Dr. H. F. Robertson, who served as Chairman of the Panel. 2. I suggested that, if Governor Peterson himself was to be present at the meeting it should be held in his office, but that if he designated somebody it might be more appropriate to have it here in OSI. Mr. Babbitt will try to give me an answer on this today. PHILIP O.
