This is a confidential Central Intelligence Agency cable dated 14 April 1976, sent from a Domestic Collection Division field office to DCD Headquarters under the subject "UFO Research." It cites an earlier headquarters message and a Form 610 dated 9 April 1976 about a UFO study. The cable says the source asked for his material to be classified Confidential. He also wants guidance from CIA UFO experts on which parts of his report should stay classified. The document was approved for release on 17 June 1978.
