This Central Intelligence Agency release gathers financial records for MKULTRA Subproject 52, with dates running from 1955 to 1964. It includes invoices, certifications, vouchers, receipts, bank statements and expense notebooks for a chemical consultant who was paid to procure and prepare specified chemicals for TSD/BB. The project records describe novel chemicals that could not be obtained through normal channels, among them tetrahydroacridine, dimethyltryptamine and 4-hydroxytryptophan. The documents contain no UFO material.

# MEMORANDUM FOR: THE RECORD SUBJECT : MKULTRA, Subproject No. 52 1. The purpose of this subproject is to provide additional funds whereby Dr. may continue to provide professional services involving specialized consultation and supervision of preparative work upon request and procurement of various natural product materials of special interest to TSD. 2. Dr. maintains a fiction that the products he collects are for his own use since his field of interest is in natural product chemistry. In order for Dr. to continue his activity without jeopardizing his cover it is necessary for him to follow his established investigative and procurement procedures. 3. It is estimated that the additional costs of this program will be $5,000.00 for a period of one year. Charges should be made against allotment No. 2125-1390-3902.
