This Central Intelligence Agency report, 00-W-30797, was distributed 30 July 1954 and compiles unevaluated foreign newspaper accounts of unidentified flying objects published between 19 January and 15 May 1954. It covers sightings in France near Saint Mexant and Sare, in Sweden's Norrbotten Province and at Kautokeino in northern Norway, and over Saint Arnaud, Setif and Ouled Djellal in Algeria. It also includes reports from Worcester in South Africa and from Port Swettenham and Cheras in British Malaya.

SIGHT UNIDENTIFIED OBJECT OVER PYRENEES -- Istanbul, Vatan, 28 Apr 54 Bayonne, 27 April 1954 (Anatolian Agency) -- On 26 April 1954, a group of persons taking a walk near Sare in the region close to the Pyrenees border observed a cigar-shaped object traveling rapidly at an altitude of 2,000 meters in the direction of Spain.
