This Central Intelligence Agency report, No. 00-W-24549, was distributed on 13 November 1952. It translates an item from the Norwegian newspaper Harstad Tidende, published 20 September 1952, and is marked as unevaluated information. According to the item, on 18 September three forestry workers just outside Kirkenes watched a flat, round object 15 to 20 meters across hover motionless at about 500 meters before it flew off northwest at great speed. The workers appear to have been the only witnesses.

The object appeared to have a diameter of 15-20 meters. After the workers had observed the object for a while, it suddenly flew away at great speed in a northwesterly direction. It appears that only these three workers saw the object; they swear, however, that their report is true.
