This Central Intelligence Agency translation, dated 2 February 1972, reproduces a Soviet bibliography on parapsychology (psychoenergetics) and related subjects compiled in Moscow in 1971, with E. K. Naumov named as the contact address. It lists Soviet works on telepathy, mental suggestion, the biophysical effect, dermo-optic sensitivity, bioelectric fields, yoga, autogenic training and heliobiology. It also includes foreign literature, a list of parapsychology journals, and foreign writings about Soviet research. The publication states that its contents do not represent U.S. Government views.

## FROM THE COMPILERS Parapsychology (psychoenergetics) is a field involving psychical and biophysical study of informational and energetic possibilities of living organisms. Parapsychology investigates the complex of phenomena relating to the interaction of living organisms with each other and with the surrounding environment without the mediation of sense organs known to us. In the foreign literature on parapsychology, this complex of phenomena is designated by the term psi phenomena and also by ESP (extrasensory perception). Considering the interest of Soviet scientists in experimental and theoretical research abroad in the field of parapsychology and considering that our country does not have a complete bibliographical listing of the most recent foreign literature on this problem, the authors of this work (having at their disposal a large volume of information and contacts with more than 35 countries of the world where parapsychology is being studied) compiled the present bibliography on the given problem. The listing includes the more important monographs, surveys, and articles on experimental and theoretical studies published in the last 70 years both in special parapsychological journals and in publications from other sources. Inasmuch as parapsychology is a complex problem standing on the boundary of many fields of learning, the compilers have included the more interesting literature on several related problems. The appendix of this listing contains an enumeration of the most important parapsychology journals published in different countries of the world and a foreign bibliography of Soviet investigations in the given field. The compilers express their deep gratitude to all foreign colleagues, institutes, laboratories, and firms whose courtesy has enabled them to complete this work by telling them of their studies and by maintaining friendly scientific contacts with Soviet investigators.
