This Central Intelligence Agency file holds Office Memorandums from W. E. Lexow, Chief of the Applied Science Division, dated 22 August 1953, with several scanned copies. One memo sends Major Tacker, USAF, a copy of a letter from Fred Kirsch, and Tacker agrees to answer it as the official authority. A second memo, to F. M. Chapin, says Tacker will tell Kirsch that the Air Force is the central authority on UFO matters, and it notes that Kirsch had written 20 such letters.

For your information Mr. Kirsch has written 20 such letters to the Air Force.
