This is a Central Intelligence Agency letter dated 29 July 1953 from Philip G. Strong to Dr. Luis V. Alvarez of the University of California at Berkeley. Strong writes that Lloyd Berkner and Bob Robertson had been flooded with questions from Leon Davidson about the UFO panel that met in Washington early in 1953. He encloses the letters exchanged between Robertson and Davidson and advises Alvarez to follow the general tone of Robertson's reply. He adds that CIA replies to Davidson only acknowledged receipt and said the queries had been sent to the Air Force.

C. 29 July 1953 ## Dear Dr. Alvarca: Recently both Lloyd Lemner and Bob Robertson have been besieged by a Sir Leon Davidson with questions relative to their activities on and the results of the UFO panel which convened in Washington early in 1953. In anticipation that you might soon be borne led similarly, I am enclosing copies of an exchange of correspondence between Robertson and Davidson, and recommend strongly that you employ the general tenor of Bob's letter should the occasion arise. In those cases there we have been required to correspond directly with Davison, our reply has been merely one of acknowledging receipt and advising him that his queries had been forwarded to the Air Force for appropriate action.
