This Central Intelligence Agency letter from Philip C. Strong to Dr. Samuel A. Goudsmit of Brookhaven National Laboratories is dated 29 May 1953 in the text. The file's date line reads 1958. Strong warns that Leon Davidson has been pressing Lloyd Berkner and Bob Robertson with questions about the UFO panel that met in Washington early in 1953. He encloses the correspondence between Robertson and Davidson and recommends that Goudsmit reply in the same tone. He adds that CIA replies have only acknowledged receipt and said the queries were forwarded to the Air Force.

C. 29 May 1953 ## Dear Sera: Recently both Lloyd Berkner and Bob Robertson have been besieged by a Mr. Leon Davidson with questions relative to their activities on and the results of the UFO panel which convened in Washington early in 1953. In anticipation that you might soon be bothered similarly, I am enclosing copies of an exchange of correspondence between Robertson and Davidson, and recognized strongly that you enjoy the general tenor of Bob's Letter should the occasion arise. In those cases where we have been required to correspond directly with Davidoon, our reply has been surely one of acknowledging receipt and advising him that his queries had been forwarded to the Air Force for appropriate action.
