This NICAP compilation of US Air Force Project Blue Book records covers the Exeter, New Hampshire sighting of 3 September 1965. It includes the Pease AFB initial report, Eighth Air Force details on the operation "Big Blast" B-47 flights, and letters from Patrolmen Eugene Bertrand and David Hunt disputing the aircraft explanation. There is also correspondence with John G. Fuller and a 1965 Pease AFB request for speakers. Blue Book listed the sighting as unidentified because no aircraft could be placed in the area at 0200.

Mrs Hunt/sh/SAFOICC/72842/9 Feb 66 Gentlemen: Based on the additional information you submitted to our UFO investigation office at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, we have been unable to identify the object you observed on September 3, 1965. I am inclosing a copy of a letter to Mr. Raymond Fowler of Wemham, Massachusetts. I hope this will help to clarify our initial statement regarding the sightings in Eborter. In 19 years of investigating over 10,000 reports of unidentified flying objects, the evidence has proved almost conclusively that reported aerial phenomena have been objects either created and sent aloft by man, generated by atmospheric conditions, or caused by celestial bodies or the residue of meteoric activity. Thank you for reporting your observation to the Air Force and for your subsequent cooperation regarding the report. I regret any inconvenience you may have suffered as a result.
