This NICAP compilation of US Air Force Project Blue Book records covers the Exeter, New Hampshire sighting of 3 September 1965. It includes the Pease AFB initial report, Eighth Air Force details on the operation "Big Blast" B-47 flights, and letters from Patrolmen Eugene Bertrand and David Hunt disputing the aircraft explanation. There is also correspondence with John G. Fuller and a 1965 Pease AFB request for speakers. Blue Book listed the sighting as unidentified because no aircraft could be placed in the area at 0200.

b. Both articles from the Saturday Review and Look Magazine are authored by John C Fuller. The article is essentially factual, however, it is apparent that poetic license and a flair for the sensational has been incorporated into the articles. The only report, submitted to the Air Force for evaluation, is the observation made by the police officers and Muscarello. The other reports, contained in the Look article, have never been reported to the Air Force. Analysis of the report indicates that it is possible for aircraft of a conventional type with rotating beacons or aircraft utilizing infra-red lights in photographic missions to have been the cause of this sighting. Since we have been unable at this time to identify a specific aircraft as the cause of the sighting, the case is regarded for statistical purposes as unidentified. There was no indication that the object presented any evidence whatsoever, of scientific or technical development beyond the present state-of-the-art. There is a total lack of evidence to indicate that the sighting could not have been caused by conventional aircraft. 2.
