This is volume 1 of Autos Findos 908/1997, a military police inquiry (IPM No. 18/97) opened on 29 January 1997 by the commander of the Brazilian Army's Escola de Sargentos das Armas in Três Corações. The inquiry targeted the book "Incidente em Varginha" by Vitório Pacaccini and Maxs Portes, which an officer said spread false claims harmful to the Armed Forces. The volume includes a May 1996 sindicância in which soldiers testified that nothing unusual happened when EsSA trucks traveled to Varginha for routine maintenance, along with pages copied from the book.
captura? Pelo que revelaram as testemunhas, ocorreu por volta das 20h do sábado e estiveram envolvidos o serviço secreto da Polícia Militar e o Corpo de Bombeiros. Esta captura foi muito mais discreta do que a primeira, pois os militares foram para - o local todos à paisana e em carros civis. A criatura estava num terreno, próximo a um bosque, onde os militares se espalharam e fizeram a captura secretamente. Essa informação veio de uma pessoa conhecida na cidade, uma senhora da sociedade varginhense, que ouviu falar que um soldado da polícia havia capturado a criatura.
