This is volume 1 of Autos Findos 908/1997, a military police inquiry (IPM No. 18/97) opened on 29 January 1997 by the commander of the Brazilian Army's Escola de Sargentos das Armas in Três Corações. The inquiry targeted the book "Incidente em Varginha" by Vitório Pacaccini and Maxs Portes, which an officer said spread false claims harmful to the Armed Forces. The volume includes a May 1996 sindicância in which soldiers testified that nothing unusual happened when EsSA trucks traveled to Varginha for routine maintenance, along with pages copied from the book.

7. Oficie-se ao Sr Chefe da $2^{a}$ Seção da EsSA solicitando que sejam enviadas a este Encarregado de IPM todas as informações disponíveis sobre o envolvimento de militares da Escola com os autores da publicação que deu origem ao presente Inquérito.
9. Junte-se aos autos do IPM a Sindicância mandada proceder pelo Exmo Sr Comandante da EsSA no mês de Maio do ano de 1996, que esclarece o envolvimento de militares da Escola no incidente citado na publicação indiciada.
8. Faça-se uma cópia xerográfica da publicação em tela, de modo a poder constar nos autos do presente Inquérito Policial Militar.
10. Providencie o Sr Escrivão.
