This Internet Archive upload holds declassified Canadian records sent to the National Research Council's Meteor Centre, which filed them as non-meteoritic sightings. Most are RCAF and Canadian Forces message reports from 1965 on lights and objects seen over Vancouver, Toronto, Sydney, Cochrane, Whitehorse and other places. The later material dates from 1968. It includes RCMP reports from Shediac and Sydney Mines. The police concluded the Sydney Mines object that hit power lines was probably a meteorite.

Canada Gentlemen, A friend of mine, a captain for Air Canada who knows I am interested in the study of U.F.Q's and aerial phenomena told me about a very interesting sighting he and his crew had on the night of October 4th 1967. Air Canada flight 305-4th was proceeding westbound on V 300 between Sherbrooke VOR, Québec and St Jean VOR, Québec. When their attention was drawn to a strange light in the distance, south of their position at 20 deg. elevation above the horizon. It was followed by two large explosions higher in the sky. Here is the actual description given to me by each crew member. We were flying at 12,000 ft above a thin layer of cloud when my attention was drawn to a very bright light. A rather strange irregular rectangular bright light, bigger and brighter than surrounding stars. As I was telling the First Officer we saw a series of smaller lights behind and slightly separated that seemed to be forming a tail to the bright light. It looked like a kite in its general form. The time was about 19:15 EDT. The F/O and I watched this for a while, wondering what it was when higher in the sky and to the left there was a large explosion orange in color and a circular in depth surrounded by
