This Internet Archive upload holds declassified Canadian records sent to the National Research Council's Meteor Centre, which filed them as non-meteoritic sightings. Most are RCAF and Canadian Forces message reports from 1965 on lights and objects seen over Vancouver, Toronto, Sydney, Cochrane, Whitehorse and other places. The later material dates from 1968. It includes RCMP reports from Shediac and Sydney Mines. The police concluded the Sydney Mines object that hit power lines was probably a meteorite.

PAGE 2 RCCSYA 24 UNCLAS H FEW MINUTES J NIL K UNUSUAL OBJECT IN SKY OVER DOUGLAS ONTARIO. IT APPEARED AS RINGS OF WHITE LIGHT MOVING TOWARD VILLAGE AND FLEW SOUTH OF THE VILLAGE WHEN TWO ROWS OF RED LIGHT APPEARED. THE OBSERVOR REPORTS THAT THESE RED LIGHTS REMAINED FOR A SHORT PERIOD WHEN IT TOOK ON ITS ORIGINAL APPEARANCE AND GLIDED EARTHWARD AND APPEARED TO LAND IN THE VICINITY OF THE CNR STATION. AFTER A SHORT TIME IT BECAME AIRBORNE AND PROCEEDED OVER THE VILLAGE WHERE IT SEEMED TO REMAIN MOTIONLESS OVER THE AREA OF THE RC CHURCH. LATER IT ROSE AND REMAINED ONLY AS A CLOUD SPOT BUT STILL COULD BE DETECTED BY MEANS OF DINOCULARS. REMARKS: THE ABOVE REPORT RECEIVED BY UNSIGNED LETTER POSTMARKED OTTAWA ONT IS BEING RETAINED ON UNIT FILE 45.
